In this course, students will apply the generally recognized practices of project management acknowledged by Global Training Hub to successfully manage projects.

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

This course is designed for persons who have on the job experience performing project management tasks, whether or not project manager is their formal job role, who are not certified project management professionals, and who might or might not have received formal project management training. The course is appropriate for these persons if they wish to develop professionally, increase their project management skills, apply a formalized and standards-based approach to project management, seek career advancement by moving into a formal Project Manager job role.

The Project Management Institute requires that you meet some initial requirements before you are eligible to sit for the PMP exam:

  • Bachelor's degree or global equivalent
  • Minimum three years/36 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience
  • 4,500 hours spent leading and directing projects
  • 35 contact hours of formal project management education

  • High school diploma, associate's degree or global equivalent
  • Minimum five years/60 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience
  • 7,500 hours spent leading and directing projects
  • 35 contact hours of formal project management education

There are a total of 200 multiple choice questions that you see on the PMI exam. Out of these 200 questions, only 175 are scored.

How do I earn a Project Management certification?

To obtain a Project Management certification, you must first meet the eligibility requirements outlined on these web pages and detailed in the certification handbooks. Then, you must pass an exam.

If I fail the exam, can I take it again?

If you fail the exam on your first attempt, you can re-take it two more times within your one-year eligibility period. Fees are associated with re-examination. Details for re-examination can be found in the certification handbook.
